Frank Thomas Alger, 78, of Coalwood, WV, passed away Thursday, May 11, 2017, at Welch Community Hospital, in Welch WV. Born, July 25, 1938, in Welch WV, he was the son of the late Harry and Ruby Edwards Alger. He was a resident of Coalwood all his life, he was a retired coal miner and he loved Jaw Jacking with his friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Frances Alger, one son Jeffery Alger, two brothers, Hub and James Alger, one sister, Barbara Mitchell.
Survivors include, two sons, Greg Alger of Coalwood, WV, Tommy Alger and wife Patricia of Coalwood, WV, two daughters, Jennifer McLamb and husband Gary of Bladenboro, N.C., Patricia Osborne and husband Kevin of Perryville, MO.
Funeral Services will be conducted, Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at 12 Noon from the Fanning Funeral Home Chapel in Welch, WV; with Reverend Joe Moore officiating; burial will follow at Grandview Memory Gardens in Bluefield, VA. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
