PRINCETON Faye Chandler, 65, of Pleasant Hill Estates, Princeton, died peacefully early Thursday morning, February 1, 2018 at her home. Born September 23, 1952 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Sadie Proffitt.
Faye was a graduate of Bluefield High School and Bluefield State College in Nursing.
Faye was as a Registered Nurse for many years, having worked at OH-9 Home Health, St. Luke's Hospital, Princeton Community Hospital, Mountaineer Home Nursing and caregiver for families in our area.
Faye loved her family, she enjoyed playing bingo, working in the garden, crocheting, and her animals. She will be remembered for being a loving wife & mother, devoted to her grandchildren.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 44 years, J. C. Chandler; Four children and spouses: Jeffrey and Heather Chandler, David Chandler, Elizabeth and Larry King, Jason and Jessica Chandler; Six grandchildren: Kristin Nicole Osborne, Alyssa Faye Daughtery, Zachary David Chandler, Ryan Edward Chandler, Brendon Jacob Jones and Olivia Marie Chandler; Three great-grandchildren; Two siblings: Wanda Proffitt and Valerie Sommers.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, February 5, 2018 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Larry Dyer officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit Monday from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
