Elmer's Story

PRINCETON Elmer Harvey, 72, of Kirkwood Avenue, Princeton died Sunday, January 28, 2018 at the Harper Mills Care Center in Beckley.
Born July 8, 1945 at Camp Creek, he was the son of the late Clifton and Zella Marie Harvey.
Mr. Harvey was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. For most of his life, Mr. Harvey worked as a Diesel Mechanic in the Princeton/Bluefield area.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son David Harvey, and with three siblings: Mary Pat, Roy and Glenn Harvey.
Those left to cherish his memory, Granddaughter Brittany Harvey, Great-grandchild Braxton Hilton, Daughter-in-law and caregiver, Teresa Harvey, Step-granddaughter Tina Marie Christian and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Friday, February 2, 2018 at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with military rites under the direction of the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Those wishing to attend the services are requested to meet at the funeral home by 12:45 P.M. Friday.
