Ellen Elizabeth Belcher, 84, of Princeton died Saturday, February 24, 2018 at her residence. Born April 14, 1933 in Princeton.
She was the daughter of the late Walter J. "W.J." Belcher and Hazel Farley Belcher. Ellen was a 1951 graduate of Princeton High School and was a retired Office Manager for Brown, Edwards, & Co. in Bluefield. She was a member of the Kee Street United Methodist Church in Princeton and the United Methodist Women of the church. She was also a member of the Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Marie Belcher; paternal grandparents, James J. "Jim" and Ellen Compton Belcher; and maternal grandparents, Levi and Elizabeth Bird Farley.
Survivors include her first cousin, Martin Shelton and wife Miranda of Princeton; second cousin, Tim Belcher and wife Barbara of California; and special friends and caregivers, Pat Belcher, R.C. and Nan Belcher, Kevin and Angie Stewart and their daughter Taylor, Nancy Bailey, Karen Myers, Daphne Keesecker, Valorie Neely, Sheilah Long, Whitni Vest, and Lisa Coates.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 1, 2018 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Carl VanStavren officiating.
Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Belcher, Kevin Stewart, Randy Shelton, Scott Myers, David Baker, and Jim Helmadollar.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Thursday.
