Elizabeth Kay's Story
Elizabeth Kay Charr King, 76, of Windsong Way, Nitro, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston.
Born on March 26, 1941 in Anawalt, she was a daughter of the late Charles B. and Mary Elswick Hall. She had been a resident of Anawalt before relocating to Nitro in 1984. She was a member of the Anawalt United Methodist Church. She was retired from the US Dept. of Agriculture.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John King; and a stepson, Eddie King; and sisters, Charlotte Bryer, Donna McCroskey and Mary Alice Winfrey.
Survivors include: Son: Jeff Charr and wife Rhonda of Wytheville, VA; Stepdaughters: Nancy Eckerl of White Mills, PA, Sharon Cantrell of Nitro, WV; Stepsons: David King of Nitro, WV, John King of Summersville, WV; Grandchildren: Megan Charr of Wytheville, VA, Ryan Charr and wife Ashley of Winter Haven, FL, Terry Skater, Jr. of CT, Alicia Featherstone of Wet Milford, NJ, Johnny Eugene Cantrell of Nitro, WV, Joseph King of Ranson, WV, Amanda King of Huntington, WV; 9 great grandchildren; Brother: Roger Hall and Rachel of Marion, NC.
Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 2:00PM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. Marion Tilley officiating. Entombment will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Bluewell where friends and family will serve as pallbearers.
