Eddie Dean Burns, 68, of Princeton died Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born September 3, 1949 in Peterstown, WV, he was the son of the late Jerry Hampton Burns and Bernice Shaver Burns. Eddie was a U.S. Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War and was a retired Electrical Contractor. He enjoyed playing music and fishing. He was of the Protestant faith.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Drema Burns.
Survivors include his wife of forty years, Suzan Darlene Rose Burns of Princeton; one son, Josh Burns and wife Melissa of Bluefield; three granddaughters, Isabella Marie Burns, Lillian Grayce Burns and Georgia Kamille Burns; one sister, Carol Wolfe and husband Larry of Dublin, VA; three brothers, Larry Burns and wife Linda of Weston, WV, Timothy Burns of Mt. Airy, NC and Troy Burns and wife Kim of Peterstown, WV; aunt, Alma Jewel Brown of Peterstown, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 17, 2017 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Minister Frank Watkins officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Park Cemetery in Princeton with the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard conducting military graveside rites. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00 PM until the service hour on Friday.
