Dillard's Story

Dillard Fred Hatcher, 80, of Spanishburg, died Monday, August 14, 2017. Born March 8, 1937 at Spanishburg, he was the son of the late Solomon Hatcher and Ilene Kinser Hatcher. Mr. Hatcher was retired from General Motors. He was a member of Old State Road Baptist Church in Beeson where he served as a deacon. He loved farming and the outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Carl Hatcher.
Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Donna Marie Caudill Hatcher; three sons, Randal Hatcher, Scott Hatcher and Dillard Hatcher; nine siblings, Myrtle Mills, Raymond Hatcher and wife Kathy, Elsie Graham and husband Billy, Evelyn Fern Hatcher, Betty Clark, Roy Hatcher and wife Regina, Lee Hatcher and wife Dottie, James Hatcher and Terry Richardson; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 17, 2017 at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Grant Prince officiating.
Interment will follow at Cline Cemetery at Nubbins Ridge in Spanishburg.
The family will receive friends Thursday, August 17, 2017 from noon until service hour at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
