Dicie "Callie"'s Story
PRINCETON Dicie "Callie" Jane Dotson, 96, of Bratton Avenue, Princeton, formerly of Iaeger, died peacefully Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born July 19, 1921 in Litwar, WV, she was the daughter of the late James Blain Lambert and Mollie Cline Lambert.
Callie was a devoted and loving homemaker and avid gardener, nurturing house plants with her green thumb.
She was a member of Sweet Home Baptist Church on Willowbrook Road near Princeton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 71 years, Russell Dotson; brothers, Howard Lambert, Robert Lambert, Lewis Lambert, Don Lambert, James Lambert; sisters, Edith Peterson, Grace Dotson, Ruth Wilson, and Lillian Lambert.
Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Dawn Dotson; three grandsons, John Russell Tupper, and girlfriend, Kala Wiley, Jarod Austin Tupper and Lance Corporal Bradley Garrett Tupper, 3 great grandchildren, Hudson James Tharpe & Caroline Abigail Tupper, Caiden Grey Tupper, all of Princeton; and a brother, Ronnie Lambert, Indiana; very special nieces and nephews, Danny, Kenny, and Chuck Dotson, Vickie Chafin, Sherry Butler, Marsha Lockhart, and Wanda Hatfield.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday, December 30, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Thurman Belcher officiating. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of the Wildwood Mausoleum, Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Saturday from 10 A.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
