Dewey's Story

Dewey Clayton Booher, 74, of Spanishburg, WV passed on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital. Born July 18, 1943 he was the son of the late Samuel Buck Booher and Eva Marie Booher.
Dewey was a retired coal miner at Eastern Associated Coal Company and was a member of the United Mine Workers of America. While health allowed he attended the Beeson Freewill Baptist Church. Dewey enjoyed being out on his farm clearing land and cutting wood.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Helen Booher; and several brothers and sisters, Samuel Booher, Jr., Norma Akers, Annie Duncan, Chloe Reed, Pansy Reed, and Zella McKinney.
Survivors include one son, Ronald C. Booher and wife Freda of Spanishburg; and one sister, Jane Steffey and husband Wilbur of Wise, VA. And several step brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Sunday, November 5, 2017 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with his son, Pastor Ronald Booher and Rev. Harold Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at the Wyatt Family Cemetery in Beeson. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
