Delphia Jean's Story
Delphia Jean England Workman, 76, of Welch-Pineville Rd., formerly of Kimball, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2018 at Golden Harvest in Welch after a long illness.
Born June 17, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Wilburn Emmett England and Bessie Smith England.
Delphia was of the Seventh Day Adventist Faith. She loved all of God's creations. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cooking and crocheting. She was a loving mother, grandmother, friend and was a resident of McDowell County most of her life.
In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by a brother, Cecil England.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Ted Workman Sr. and wife, Jan, of Spokane Valley, WA, Lori Workman and Jeff Workman, both of the home, Melissa Green and husband, Bruce, of Welch. Three brothers: Victor England and wife, Wilma, of Union; Ernest England and wife, Rosie, of Tennessee,
and her twin brother, Dallas England of Pineville. Two sisters: Shelby England and Minnie Camacho and husband, Fred, all of Chicago, IL. She also leaves behind her ex-husband Teddy R. Workman of the home. Although they divorced in 1991, they never stopped loving each other. She also leaves behind four grandchildren: Teddy D. Workman, Jr. and girlfriend Hillary Criswell of Spokane Valley, WA, Kayla Workman of Spokane Valley, WA, Patrick Workman of Princeton and Chloe Green of Welch. Two great grandchildren, Fynyx Workman of Hayden, ID and Cane Workman of Spokane, WA. Her best friend, Vada Sharrone of Princeton, WV. Also a host of extended family and friends.
Services will be conducted Thursday, February 8, 2018 at 1:pm at Widener Funeral Home Chapel, Northfork, WV with Pastor Allen Stump officiating. Burial will follow at Smyrna Chapel Cemetery, Route 16 Welch Pineville Rd.
Friends may call Wednesday, February 7, 2018 form 6 Until 8:pm at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.
