PRINCETON - Deborah Jean Mullins Riggs, 61, of Austin Street, Princeton, formerly of Big Sandy, McDowell County, died peacefully Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.
Born September 20, 1957 in Iaeger, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Florene Belcher Mullins.
Deborah was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She loved being with her family and especially her grandchildren. Also, she really enjoyed feeding the birds and the squirrels.
Deborah retired as a Service Worker from the WV DHHR with 42 years of service.
Surviving are her devoted children, Melanie Minnix and husband B.J of Bluewell, Melissa White and husband T.J. of Princeton; Four grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Kiley and Raelynn Minnix and Abigayle and Madelyn White; One brother, Charles Mullins and wife Becke of Bramwell; One Sister, Patricia Green and husband Donald of Davy.
A celebration of life service for Deborah Jean Mullins Riggs will be conducted at 4:00 P.M., Friday, April 19, 2019 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor Carla Bragg officiating.
Friends may visit with the family from 3:00 P.M. until the service hour at the funeral home.
The family has honored Deborah's request that she be cremated.
