Darrell's Story

Darrell Carter, 74, of Wilmington, DE and formerly of Sandlick, passed away on July 3, 2018.
Born on May 22, 1944 in Freeman, he was a son of the late Watt Carter and Edith Dequino. He was a veteran of the US Army and National Guard. He was retired from the Chrysler Corp with 44 years.
Survivors include: Daughter: Melissa Carter of DE. Granddaughter: Alexis Carter. Sisters: Marie (Tom) Kirby of Bluefield; Betty Dequino of Bluewell.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at 11:00 AM at the Cravens-Shires Funeral Home Chapel in Bluewell with Rev. David Lusk officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Memorial park in Bluewell where military honors will be performed by the Mercer County Veterans Honor Guard.
Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00-11:00 at the funeral home.
