Dannie Lee Taylor, 68, of North Myrtle Beach, SC and Princeton, WV died Friday, February 23, 2018 at Embrace Hospice House in Myrtle Beach, SC. Born January 29, 1950 in Princeton he was the son of the late Randall K. Taylor and Iva Brookman Taylor.
Dannie retired from Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton in 2016 with forty four years service and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Princeton. He was a member of the Princeton Masonic Lodge #134 AF&AM, Princeton Chapter #44 Royal Arch Masons, Bluefield Commandery #19 Knights Templer, Beni Kedem Shrine Temple in Charleston, Bluefield Shrine Club (where he was very active in the Crippled Children's Program for many years), Princeton Elks Lodge #1459, Princeton Moose Lodge #1521 (where he was formerly on the bowling team with his father and attended numerous Moose Tournaments in the U.S. and Canada).
Dannie was an avid golfer and enjoyed his retirement to Myrtle Beach, SC. He was a true WVU Mountaineer fan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Gerald Hunter Kitts.
Survivors include his wife, Deborah Gleason Freeman Taylor of North Myrtle Beach, SC; one daughter, Jennifer Rorrer and husband Hoyt of Ashland, KY; two grandsons, Marco Kitts and Robert "Rob" Kitts both of Ashland, KY; and the children of his wife, Matthew Freeman and wife Jennifer and their son Owen, and Brian Freeman.
Dannie will be missed by his loving family, his many friends, and his co-workers.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 26, 2018 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Dr. David Dockery officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12:00 Noon until the service hour on Monday.
