Cora M. Hager, 74, of Princeton, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2017.
Born November 23, 1943 in Bluefield, WV; she was a daughter of the late Walter Akers and the late Elsie Gadd Akers.
Cora loved spending time with her family, cooking, doing needlework, and dancing to Bluegrass music. She was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James J. Akers and an infant sister.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 55 years, Harry "Jack" Hager; two sons, Alan Hager and wife, Missy of Bluefield, WV and Larry Hager and wife, Shelly of Lancaster, SC; two grandchildren, Kallie Hager and Katilyn Bailey; two brothers, Gerald Akers and wife, Shirley and Mark Akers and wife, Linda; her twin sister, Charlotte Auton; and sister, Shirley Bailey and husband, Wayne; several nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
A service to celebrate the life of Cora M. Hager will be held 1:00PM Thursday, January 4, 2018 at Roselawn Funeral Home, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton with her nephew, Pastor David Bailey officiating.
In keeping with Cora's wishes, she will be cremated following the services.
Friends may gather with the family from 12:00PM until time of the service Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations of sympathy can be given to the family.
