Charles "C.J." Sullivan, 61, of Bluefield, VA, passed away Saturday, December 9, 2017 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Russell County, Virginia, he was the son of the late Hughie S. and Mary P. White Sullivan. He had been a heavy equipment operator for Pounding Mill Quarry for over 30 years. He was a former member of the Fire Department at Rocky Gap, VA. He and his wife, Geneva, were owners and operators of C&G Small Engine Repairs. C.J. was a Harley Davidson Motorcycle fanatic and was passionate about riding, being a member of H.O.G.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife: Lisa Waddell Sullivan, his second wife: Geneva Wimmer Sullivan and brother in-law Wayne Pruett.
He will be lovingly missed by his children: James "J.B." Sullivan (Mandy) of Falls Mills, VA, Mandy Sullivan (Roger Smith) of Tazewell, VA; grandsons: Braxton and Peyton "P.J." Taylor; siblings: Reva Jean Pruett (Doug Dye) of Tazewell, VA; Billy Sullivan (Rhonda) of Tazewell, VA; step-sons: Brett Hill (Amanda) of Bluefield, WV and Michael Hill (Yuki) of Hawaii; Nieces and Nephews: Rachel, Jonathan and Abigail Sullivan.
A service to celebrate C.J.'s life will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at Dudley Memorial Chapel with Rev. George Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, VA at 1:30 P.M.
Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at Dudley Memorial from 6-8 P.M.
