Charles Edward "Charlie" Shamro's Story

Charles Edward "Charlie" Shamro, 66, of Princeton left this world (now at peace) Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Princeton Community Hospital.
Born October 13, 1950 in Forest City, PA he was the son of the late Edward Shamro and Charlotte Lutcavage Shamro. Charlie received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Penn State, his Master's Degree in Psychology at Marywood University, and his Master's Degree in Counseling at the University of Scranton. He formerly ran the Health South Pain Management Program, was a former Professor of Psychology at Bluefield State College, a Psychologist at the Southwest Virginia Training Center, and was currently a Psychologist at the Bland Correctional Facility. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Church in Pocahontas, VA. Charlie was a member of the American Psychology Association and the American Medical Association. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and was a member of the BSA Motorcycle Club and the Gold Wing Road Riders Association. He viewed life as an adventure and traveled many places. He had been a resident of Princeton since 1991 moving here from Factoryville, PA.
Survivors include his wife of forty one years, Joyce Andrejko Shamro of Princeton; one daughter, Andrea Tschannerl and husband Gautama of St. Augustine, FL; one son, Devin Edward Adam Shamro of Morgantown, WV; one sister, Karen Falcone and husband James of Stockton, CA; one brother, Robert Shamro and wife Tena of Hayward, WI; one brother-in-law, Jack Andrejko and wife Lisa of Coral Gables, FL; one sister-in-law, Maribeth Andrejko Sisko of Wilkesboro, PA; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
In keeping with Charlie's wishes his body has been cremated. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at the St. Elizabeth Church in Pocahontas, VA with Father Jugene Espeleta and Father Dan Brady as Celebrants.
Friends may call at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service hour on Thursday at the church.
