Chad's Story

NASHVILLE, Tenn. Chad Darren Cahill, 42, passed peacefully into the welcoming arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on February 3, 2017 at Southern Hills Medical Center in Nashville, TN. Chad was the son of Thomas Wayne "Butch" Cahill and Sierra Sue McManaway Cahill of Princeton.
Chad was born and raised in Princeton. He attended Concord University and graduated from Glenville State College with a forestry degree. He later furthered his education by becoming a Certified Arborist. Chad held numerous certifications and accomplishments in the field of forestry. After graduation, Chad worked for ACRT, a forestry management company, advancing to a supervisory position. He later worked for Nashville Electrical Services as a Senior Utility Arborist. Chad was an avid deer hunter and sports enthusiast. His caring, witty personality made him loved by many.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William "Red" Cahill; and maternal grandparents, Paul and Lucille McManaway.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his paternal grandmother, Geraldine "Jerri" Cahill; sister, Cassie Cahill Reed and husband Alan; nieces and nephews, whom he adored, Brylan, Easton, Caelan and Baby Girl Reed. A host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends are left to grieve Chad's passing.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 13, 2017 at Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Scott Hodge officiating. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 12, 2017 from 4-7 p.m. at the Bailey-Kirk Funeral Home in Princeton.
