LERONA — Cary Gordon Hubbard, 47, of Lerona died Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at his residence.
Born September 29, 1969 in Princeton he was the son of the late Gordon Hubbard and Drema Meador Hubbard Ritchey and her husband Douglas of Princeton. He was a graduate of Athens High School and a member of the Cook's Chapel Baptist Church in Pipestem.
Cary was a heavy equipment operator with the West Virginia Department of Highways and had his CDL license. He was an avid ham radio operator (KB8VOK) and was an extremely patriotic person who loved his country and the veterans who served in our military. Cary enjoyed posting videos on You Tube on his Cary Hubbard and Family Channel. He also enjoyed tractoring with his Kubota, watching football and rooting against the Dallas Cowboys.
In addition to his mother and step-father additional survivors include his wife, Deborah Denise Shorter Hubbard of Lerona; two sons, Cary Matthew "Matt" Hubbard and Joshua James Hubbard both of Lerona and special family friends, Lee and Lori Bower and their children, Austin Lee Bower and Michaela Bower.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 PM, Saturday, April 8, 2017 at the Cook's Chapel Baptist Church in Pipestem with Pastor Dallas Peyton, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the Shorter Family Cemetery in Lerona. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Friends may call at Cooks Chapel Baptist Church in Pipestem from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Friday, April 7, 2017 (today).
