HIGH POINT, NC Carol Ann Begovich, 74, went home to be with the Lord on October 18, 2017 after a valiant battle with a long illness. Her devotion to her family and firm belief in God supported her in her struggle and gave her peace. Carol was born to the late Emil and Pearl Pyssler, in Chicago, Illinois on November 20, 1942. She was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her husband, Lewis J. Begovich, Sr. ("Luke") in Chicago, Illinois and the couple later relocated to their home in Princeton, West Virginia where they lived and raised their family for 42 years. Upon becoming ill, Carol and her husband, Luke, came to live in High Point, North Carolina for the past four years.
During her time in West Virginia, Carol became a member of Willowbrook Baptist Church, Princeton, WV. She was dedicated to her family and always made time to encourage and help others. She is dearly missed by her loved ones and numerous friends, who celebrate that she is now at peace with her Lord.
Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Luke Begovich; her children, Frank Ferrell, Randy Ferrell, Brenda Collins, LuAnn Begovich Johnson (Daniel Johnson), Lewis "Luke" Begovich, Jr. (Kim Begovich), John Begovich, D.O. (Pamela Begovich), and Michael Begovich; her grandchildren Brandon Ferrell, Kyle Ferrell, Felicia Cook, Sarah Rutherford, Jessica Horne, Gabrielle Begovich, Paul Boscia, Jr., Amanda Boscia, Nicholas Begovich, Matthew Begovich, Ethan Begovich, Clayton Johnson, Tyler Harper, and Samantha Hagerty; her 15 great-grandchildren; her brother Henry Pyssler (Michael Benton), and sister, Gale West.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Alan Pyssler, her daughter, Debbie Sirian, and her granddaughter, Heather Boscia.
A visitation will be held at Memorial Funeral Directory, 654 Athens Road, Princeton, WV on Sunday (October 22, 2017) from 4pm until 6pm. A funeral service will take place on Monday (October 23, 2017) at Memorial Funeral Directory at 11am with Pastor Brian Poindexter of East Bend, North Carolina officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
