Bobbie Jean Ellison

Bobbie Jean Ellison, 85, of Princeton, died peacefully Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Ridge Care Assisted Living on Halls Ridge Road with her family by her side.
Born March 4, 1933 in Mercer County, WV she was the daughter of the late John P. and Josephine A. Bird Sammons.
A loving daughter, wife, mother and sister who loved the Lord.
Bobbie served as a nurse for the Handicap Children of the State of WV for many years. She also worked for Southern Highlands Mental Health Center in Princeton. Bobbie graduated from Princeton High School, Martha Washington College and Charleston General School of Nursing. She was a faithful member of Johnston Chapel Baptist Church on Halls Ridge and a member of the Princeton Chapter
Order of Eastern Star #53.
Preceded in death by a son Roger Lee Ellison.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Lee who were married for 60 years; Loving sons, Jonathan Lee Ellison; Larry Wayne Ellison & James Edward Ellison One brother, Paul Sammons.
Funeral services to celebrate the life of Bobbie Jean Ellison will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, October 12, 2018 Johnston Chapel Baptist Church on Halls Ridge Road. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Princeton. Friends may visit with the family from 1:00 P.M. until the service hour at the church. Online condolences may be shared with the family via www.memorialfd.com.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The Ellison family is being served by the Memorial Funeral Directory and Cremation Center on the Athens Road in Princeton.

Bobbie Jean I'm going to miss your sweet smile, and long talks we had at Recie & Jim's cookouts. Also your pineapple/apple dish from the holidays. You were such a special lady, and I know the Lord will take good care of you.
