B. F. Meade, 87, of Bratton Avenue, Princeton went home to be with his Lord and Savior Monday afternoon, August 14, 2017 at his home. Born December 25, 1929 in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Elva and Virgie Williamson Meade. Mr. Meade was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the U.S. Army. He had worked in both the coal and steel industry and was a long distance truck driver. In his spare time, he had a cabinet shop and was a member of the Princeton Church of Nazarene on the Oakvale Road in Princeton. He was a member of the AF & AM Lodge #134 of Princeton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters.
Survivors include his wife of nearly 60 years, Della May Blair Meade, Two step-sons; Lacy Eugene "Butch" Adkins & companion Debbie of Reading MI and Mason Finley & wife Mary of Huntington; Four grandchildren, Five great-grandchildren and One great-great-grandchild. Three very special nieces, Angie, Ruthie & Leigh Ann.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 18, 2017 from the Burns Wornal Chapel of the Memorial Funeral Directory on the Athens Road in Princeton with Pastor John Branham officiating.
Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton with graveside services under the direction of the AF & AM Lodge #134 of Princeton.
Friends may visit with the family Thursday from 6 until 8 PM at the funeral home.
