Andrew Ferrell Taylor, 83, of Princeton died Friday, February 23, 2018 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born September 29, 1934 in Mercer County he was the son of the late Blake Ferrell Taylor and Mattie Ellen Worley Taylor.
Andrew was a retired brakeman with Norfolk Southern Railroad and N&W Railroad with forty five years service. He was a member of the Princeton Apostolic Church. He formerly ran the movie projector at the Lavon Theater in Princeton. Andrew will be remembered by his loving spirit and smile.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers, Eugene, George, Kenneth, Billy, Donald, and Harry Taylor; and two sisters, Edith Joseph and Edna Taylor.
Survivors include his loving wife of 23 years, Venetia Susan Gonzin Taylor of Princeton; three stepchildren, Sandy Cochran, Dennis Jenkins and Ken Jenkins; several grandchildren; two sisters, Betty Robertson of Princeton and Phyllis Bailey and husband Jimmy of China Grove, NC; several nieces and nephews including special nephew he considered a son, Logan Andrew Gonzin.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, March 2, 2018 at the George W. Seaver Chapel of Seaver Funeral Home in Princeton with Pastor Scott Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
