Adrin Dalford McGlothlin died early Wednesday morning (January 31, 2018) following a short illness.
Born April 10, 1958 in Richlands, Virginia, he was a son of the late Jones Justin McGlothlin and Cora Bell Hess McGlothlin. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. He was known by his friends as Big A. He was a licensed HAM Radio operator and his call sign was KF4NSI. HAM Radio was his favorite hobby and he loved talking to his buddies on his radio every night. He was loved by his family and friends and will be forever missed. KF4NS1 signing off.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arthur Lee Hess and Delania "Dee" Hess, uncle, Hampton Hess; and his paternal grandparents.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara Colley McGlothlin and their son, Douglas McGlothlin; two sisters, Merinda Horn and her husband, Jim, Brenda Boyd and her husband, Gregory; one nephew, James Allen Boyd and his wife, Sara; one great-niece, Kira Boyd; one great-nephew, Jaxon Boyd; aunts and uncles, Jacqueline Fletcher and husband, Kenneth, Marlene Hess, Garfield Hess and wife, Maxine; several cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Monday in the Honaker Funeral Home Chapel, Honaker, Virginia with Rev. Carl Burmeier and Rev. Roy Horn officiating. Interment will follow in the Austin Cemetery at Venia, Virginia.
Relatives and friends will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at the Honaker Funeral Home after 6:00 PM Saturday and Sunday.
